Overview

What it is

BD Rail Ticket Alarm is a free, open-source (MIT) extension for Brave, Chrome and Edge on a computer. It watches for your Bangladesh Railway train's tickets to go on sale at eticket.railway.gov.bd and sounds an alarm when seats open, so you can book quickly.

You pick a journey date, and the extension works out the opening day (10 days before travel) and checks at the release time. When seats appear it plays an alarm, shows a notification, scrolls to your train and highlights the BOOK NOW button, then outlines suggested seats in the seat map.

It never logs in for you, enters OTP codes, makes payments or interacts with the site's bot check: you click and pay yourself. It is an independent project, not affiliated with Bangladesh Railway or Shohoz, and does not guarantee a ticket.

Features

What it does

  • Calculates the ticket opening day from your journey date, with a countdown and reminders one day and one hour before release
  • Checks for your train about once a second at release time, backing off if the server rate-limits it
  • Loud alarm, notification, automatic scroll to your train and a glowing BOOK NOW button
  • Seat-map highlighting for preferred coaches and seats, with forward or backward direction hints (a rule of thumb, not official data)
  • Saved trips and an English and Bangla interface
  • Never logs in, enters OTP, pays or bypasses the bot check
